Fish Haul Beach
Unlike the touristy Atlantic beaches, Fish Haul is a tidal preserve on Port Royal Sound — quiet, natural, and uncrowded. At low tide the water recedes to reveal vast sand flats perfect for beachcombing, finding treasures, and spotting the resident Bald Eagle or dolphins playing in the Sound. Pro tip: bring water shoes — the tidal pools are a blast for kids to explore. Prefer traditional surf? Folly Field and Burkes Beach are just a 10-minute drive. Note: Port Royal Sound is not a swimming beach.
